MCRO is a Minnesota Judicial Branch system that covers Minnesota district trial courts, including Grant County District Court. MCRO Document Search is narrower. It requires an exact case number and returns available public documents. The Grant County calendar examples showed case-number formats such as 26-PR-26-80 for probate matters, but users should not assume all case codes can be decoded from that example alone.

Grant County Court Records Access Rules

Restricted Grant County Court Records
Several record categories are restricted from MCRO or from general public access. Domestic Abuse/OFP and Harassment Restraining Order case types are not available on the internet. Child Protection and Juvenile Delinquency Felony 16 case types are not available in MCRO. Public documents in civil commitment case types are not available through MCRO. Party street addresses and comment fields are not displayed remotely, except criminal sentencing condition comments.
Sealed and expunged records are not ordinary public records. Minnesota chapter 609A and Clean Slate changes affect criminal court visibility and BCA criminal history visibility. Cannabis-related petty misdemeanor and misdemeanor records, plus certain felony-level records dismissed or resolved in the person's favor, were expunged from BCA CHS as of May 2024, according to the research. Court and BCA records may not update in the same way or at the same time.
