Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public access to many court records through the Minnesota Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, including Rule 4 on accessibility and Rule 8 on inspection, copying, and remote access. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Grant County Court Administration keeps District Court case records for criminal, civil, family, probate, juvenile, conciliation, and traffic matters. The Grant County Recorder handles marriage certificates, licenses, and recorded documents. The Sheriff's Office manages warrant and jail information, while state systems cover public criminal history, DOC custody, and driver records. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee notes, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.
